Teaching, Workshops, and School Visits

I have over 20 years of experience teaching art to elementary, high school and college students. I have taught in public and private schools, online, and in art museums and art centers. My teaching philosophy is supportive, choice-based, and student-centered.

1:1 Private Lessons

This one-on-one private drawing lesson with a professional artist and illustrator will allow you to express your creativity and develop fundamental skills. The class is intended to provide students with support and instruction as they learn painting and drawing skills and techniques that are tailored to their individual level. Skills taught may include: drawing with shapes, contour line drawing, color, value, perspective, composition, and movement. We can explore a wide range of subjects, including landscapes, florals, still life, animals, figurative, and abstract. Sessions can be scheduled individually, in a package, or ongoing.

Painting Workshops

Drawing or Painting Flora & Fauna: An Exploration of Nature through Art

This workshop, led by a nature artist and illustrator, is a fun and creative way to interact with the natural world. Participants will create a mixed-media drawing or painting focusing on either a botanical form, a landscape or an animal study. Skills and techniques taught revolve around the subject and may include line quality, shape, perspective, pattern, and color. Within the workshop setting, Molly provides step-by-step guidance, allowing room for creative interpretation. All skill levels are welcome and various groups (educational, corporate, social) can participate. Workshop can take place in or outdoors.
